From Watercolour to Algorythm: Authenticity in My Evolving Artistic
Intro: A Natural and Conscientious Progression
As an artist, my exploration has always been guided by a search for genuine expression. My journey，from the fluid spontaneity of watercolour, to the tactile depth of acrylics, and into the precision of digital tools，has been defined by a respect for the integrity of each medium. Today, I see Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a logical, yet significant, new step. I approach it not as a shortcut, but as a complex tool that demands the same level of artistic responsibility and authentic intent as a physical brush.
The Foundation: Authenticity and Honesty
Before defining my works, I want to state my core principle: transparency is non-negotiable.
My reputation is built on the honesty of my creative process. Every artwork I produce, regardless of the medium, is a direct result of my vision and my hands-on involvement. I believe that collectors and admirers have the right to know exactly how a piece was created. This commitment to clarity is why I clearly categorize my work below. There are no hidden processes; only a sincere dedication to my craft’s evolution.
My Three-Tiered Practice: A Transparent Typology
To ensure absolute clarity, I define my work into three distinct categories, each with its own clear provenance:
- Original Analog Works:
These are unique, physical artworks created entirely by hand. From pen drawings and watercolours to acrylics and mixed media on canvas, paper, or wood, each piece is one-of-a-kind. The energy of every brushstroke or pencil line is physically embedded in the work. Prints of these works are always explicitly labelled and sold as reproductions, making the aesthetic accessible while honouring the original’s unique value. - Original Digital Works:
In these works, the stylus on the tablet is my brush on the canvas. They are created from scratch by my hand using digital tools (like Photoshop, Procreate, or custom algorithms), without any AI generation. Every compositional choice is mine. These are offered as Limited Edition NFTs or archival prints, with their authenticity and edition size cryptographically secured and documented. - AI-Enhanced Works (The Upgrade):
This is a collaborative process where I use AI as a sophisticated tool. Crucially, it always begins with my own original asset: a photograph of an analog sketch, a pen drawing, or a self-made digital image. I direct the AI using highly specific prompts rooted in my artistic vision.
I am the author; the AI is the assistant. The final work is a co-creation that expands my artistic possibilities, but it is unmistakably guided by my authorship. These works are offered as Limited Editions and are always described as “AI-enhanced” to ensure complete honesty.
Why AI? The Artist’s Hand Remains on the Wheel
My goal is to visualize the unseen connections between emotion, science, and the universe. AI offers a new way to explore complex patterns like neural networks or cymatic frequencies. While it is a powerful tool, my vision, creative decisions, and curatorial control remain absolute. My hand，whether guiding a pencil, a stylus, or an algorithm，is the constant creative force.
The Future is Hybrid and Honest
This evolution enriches my artistic language; it does not replace the foundations of my practice. It allows me to communicate my message of harmony and connection with greater depth. Most importantly, I pledge to always be transparent about the journey each artwork takes. The soul of the work is, and will always be, human.
